My final capstone design project addressed the proposition statement: how can luxury womenswear brands sustainably enhance their service offerings to ensure the future of in-store retailing?


In examining the retail industry it was clear that there has been a shift from in store retailing to online shopping. The design project establishes a physical retail store for Australian online only retailer Matteau. The brands existing website has been leveraged to incoperate an instore AR experience as shown below.

The Matteau Moderne concept store is a unique space that houses the brands first retail front. Creating a connection between online and in store experiences the Matteau Modern Concept Store re-imagines the shopping experience. Integrating technology and a vacation like cocktail lounge destination, the space considers the needs of the modern woman, generating a more personalized and sustainable experience.
